Bard has done the miles – 18 years guiding in the wilds of Fiordland and throughout New Zealand. He has his heart in Fiordland – trustee on a conservation trust, helping youth at risk by introducing them to the wilderness, and doing all he can to convey an understanding and passion for our natural heritage. A good Southern bloke, he’s skilled as the hunter-gatherer, can enthuse, humour and adapt each day to terrain, fitness levels or weather.
